Lee County Holds Off Lady Hawks 7-4
Lee County used a 3 run 7th inning to defeat the Lady Hawks 7-4 on Thursday. The Lady Hawks entered the top of the 7th inning trailing only 4-3, but Lee County tagged on 3 runs to put the game away. Alex Hartley(2-1) pitched 6 strong innings, but suffered the loss on the mound. Kari Kinser led the offense going 3-4 with an RBI and her 1st homerun of the season. Emily Cox added a double.
The Lady Hawks record is now 5-2 overall. The Lady Hawks will be back in action this weekend as they head to Lagrange for the Callaway Classic. Game times are 4:00 and 5:30 on Friday and 10:00, 11:30, and TBA on Saturday.
September Booster Club Meeting
The Hardaway Lady Hawks Softball Booster Club will hold it's August meeting on Monday, September 12th at 6:00 PM in the SMP Building. I hope everyone makes plans to attend!
Lady Hawks Defeat Lee County In 8 Innings
The Hardaway Lady Hawks defeated the Lee County Trojans 4-3 in 8 innings on Tuesday. Kari Kinser pitched a complete game to improve her record to 2-1. Emily Cox led the Lady Hawks offensively going 2-4 and scoring a run. Amber Locey added a double and Alex Hartley had a sacrifice fly that proved to be the game-winning RBI in the 8th inning. The Lady Hawks record improves to 5-1 and will take on Lee County again on Thursday at home. Game time is set for 5:00 PM.
Lady Hawks Begin Jordan Invitational With 4-1 Start
The Hardaway Lady Hawks began the season with a 4-1 start to the 2011 season. The Lady Hawks began with a thrilling 3-2 come-from-behind against Pacelli. Kari Kinser picked up the win(1-0) and drove in the winning run. Alex Hartley added a big RBI double in the comeback
In game 2 the Lady Hawks rolled to a 12-6 win over Marion County. Alex Hartley got the win(1-0). Games 3 and 4 were both blowout wins, out scoring their opponents 34-6 with wins over Manchester 18-4 and Callaway 16-2. Kaitlyn Cross(1-0) got her first win of the season against Manchester and Alex Hartley(2-0) picked up her second win against Callaway.
In the championship game, the Lady Hawks fell a little short with a 5-3 loss against Columbus. Kari Kinser(1-1) took the loss. Kaitlyn Cross led the Lady Hawks at the plate with 2 hits and Taylor Danner added an RBI.
